1. Who is Assumption of Mary Umoja Catholic Church?

We're a self help group in Umoja under Assumption of Mary Umoja Catholic church which we're governed by Caritas Nairobi

2. Who Can Join Assumption of Mary Umoja Catholic Church?

Anyone can join as long as you adhere to our guidelines

3. What are the requirements for one to join as a member?

i). Copy of ID/Valid Passport
ii). Copy of KRA pin certificate
iii). Copy of ID for next of kin/ Valid Passport
iv). Passport size Photograph
v). Registration fee

4. What is a benevolent fund?

This is a welfare fund established by the self help group to assist the family of a member incase of a members death

5. When is a new member eligible for a loan?

After six months of consecutive saving.

6. Can I take more than one loan.

Yes. one can take up to a maximum of 3 loans as long as they have free shares.

7. After how long does a member's account become dormant?

When a member does not contribute for 4 consecutive months

8. What are boosted savings ?

Boosted savings refer to any amount of contribution that is more than a third of the members savings at the time of taking the loan

9. What are the charges that are incurred when taking a loan?

i).Loan security fund- 1% of the loan amount.
ii). CRB charge -Ksh. 100
iii).Loan form- Ksh.100
iv).Mpesa charge-Ksh.100 for Ksh. 0-70,000 and Ksh.200 for Ksh.70,001 and above up to Ksh.150,000
